The Epsom Village Shopping Centre will include various retail tenancies and associated upgrade works, landscaping and road intersection improvements.
Planning for an Application
We undertook lengthy negotiations with the Department of Transport, with the application process taking over 12 months to settle on a favourable outcome.
Engagement with Council’s planning department, landscape and urban design consultation was also required to facilitate a built form outcome which Council supported.
Outcome
As part of the negotiation of the amended permit, our client has committed to significant beautification upgrade works of the centre as a whole, including the construction of a new feature entrance plaza and upgrade works of the Howard Street and Midlands Highway intersection. This significant road infrastructure piece will benefit the wider community and improve road safety at and around the centre.
