The Project
The development was funded by Homes Victoria as part of the Victorian Government’s $5.3 billion Big Housing Build and delivered in partnership with Uniting, who will own and manage the building.
The site is located within the Wangaratta Central Activities Area, and the development is specifically designed for social housing purposes and will provide for a total of 44 units over four levels.
Our Work
Our planning team ran the permit application, including a pre-application meeting. Through various negotiations, Council support was achieved and a Notice of Decision was issued.
An objector then lodged a VCAT appeal, and the team facilitated a Ministerial intervention and DELWP issued an Amendment to the Wangaratta Planning Scheme which determined that a planning permit was no longer required and dismissed the VCAT appeal.
