The project
The new Coles Romsey Shopping Centre will include a full-size Coles supermarket, a Liquorland store, and a specialty retail tenancy of approximately 200 sqm, supported by 195 on-site parking spaces.
Our Work
Our transport team provided advisory services during the early stages, including the preparation of a comprehensive transport due diligence assessment that identified key risks, issues and opportunities associated with the site. Following site acquisition, we delivered technical traffic engineering design recommendations and assessments in the planning phase and subsequently prepared a detailed transport impact assessment report.
In the post-application phase, we engaged extensively with both Council and the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). This collaboration was critical in resolving complex vehicle access and movement challenges, ultimately resulting in the development of an appropriate access strategy for the supermarket.
Our waste team was engaged during the planning phase of the project, delivering waste management advice and the waste management plan (WMP) in support of the planning submission. The WMP was informed by Coles’ operational waste procedure and aligned with Macedon Ranges Shire Council’s latest requirements, ensuring compliance and efficient waste storage and collection arrangements.
