The Development
The five high-end multi-storey reverse-living townhouses are located between Cherry Lake and Altona Beach.
The project required the successful removal of an existing covenant which restricted the use of materials on the project site, which is close to the Pier Street cafés, Seaholme Railway Station and JK Grant Reserve.
Our Work
Ratio’s Planning team ran the planning application through Council and achieved officer support before the application was overturned by the local Councilors. The team went on to assist the client to achieve a mediated decision by the Tribunal.
Our team overcame challenges associated with the removal of a covenant and its various beneficiaries, managing a response to urban design referral comments received late in the process which required design changes and achieving a mediated outcome at VCAT which required consent from objector parties and Councilors.
