The Project
The 15-storey building student accommodation development comprises 465 beds, 241sqm of retail floor area, and 74 bicycle parking spaces, with no on-site car parking.
The development will also incorporate communal seating areas, a lounge, a library, and study spaces with a gym, games room, and dining areas throughout.
Our Work
Our transport team was initially engaged to review the access to the site via the adjacent laneway and review the easement on site.
The team was then engaged to provide design advice regarding the loading bay and bicycle parking arrangements, as well as prepare a Transport Impact Assessment, Green Travel Plan, and Loading Management Plan to accompany the application.
The constrained laneway network adjacent to the site provided some access challenges which were resolved by our team who also proposed a reduction to the number of bicycle parking spaces, based on the site’s central location.
