The Project
Architecturally designed by Tandem Design Studio the proposal is for a single level 1,900 square metre (approx.) medical centre for 23 medical practitioners and associated business identification signage. Located within the General Residential Zone, the medical centre has access from Point Cook Road, is co-located with the Sanctuary Lakes Hotel and is adjacent to the Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre.
The medical centre will feature medical suites and consulting rooms for three separate tenancies including a dispensary and associated car parking and bicycle parking for visitors.
Our Work
Our planning, traffic and waste management teams worked collaboratively with Tandem Design Studio to obtain support from Wyndham City Council.
Our planning team were involved in pre-application advice, preparation of a planning submission and liaison with the Council during the application process.
The project team worked collaboratively with Council to resolve pedestrian and cyclist access to the facility through the provision of a pedestrian access route to the medical centre through the existing Hotel car park and to demonstrate adequacy of parking.
A temporal car parking demand assessment was conducted by our transport team to assess how the car parking demands of both the existing Hotel use on site and the proposed medical centre are likely to vary by time of day and week.
Our waste management team provided a waste management plan and in conjunction with the transport team demonstrated appropriate onsite collection from the carpark.
