The Project
The Gippsland Freight Infrastructure Master Plan lays out the infrastructure required to facilitate the effective movement of freight as a revised substitute for the 2013 Master Plan.
The Master Plan considers functionality, congestion and effects on the existing transport network to engage and satisfy industry stakeholders.
Our Work
Ratio’s provided specialist transport planning input to help establish the industry freight priorities within the Gippsland region. Our team of transport engineers and planners facilitated a number of workshops and used innovative engagement methods with key industry and government stakeholders as inputs into a weighted criteria assessment.
The project considered a wide range of state and local strategic documents in establishing a range of strategic objectives which focused not only on the movement of goods and services but also the impacts of improving safety and amenity through regional, built-up areas.
The findings and recommendations of the Master Plan will support and accommodate the future freight task for Gippsland.
