The plans for WA’s first Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC) will boost Woolworth’s eCommerce capacity.

The CFC will provide greater capacity to boost next day delivery service and Direct to Boot service for the retailer.

The Project

The development considered the construction of an 8,500sqm Woolworths Customer Fulfilment Centre with an associated car parking and loading area.

The CFC in Perth North will serve increased customer demand for online grocery shopping.

Our Work

Our transport team reviewed the future traffic generation and impacts of the approved development on the site against the proposed new scheme of the Woolworths Customer Fulfilment Centre.

Our assistance was sought to undertake all necessary traffic engineering design works of the development, with a focus on resolving the loading area and Direct to Boot facilities.

The team was also engaged to determine if the traffic generated by the development could be catered for by the new signalised intersection that is proposed by the development of the wider site (that the subject site sits within).

The team demonstrated to the authorities that all safety and operational aspects of the development were considered within the loading and car park areas, as well ensuring that the traffic modelling assessment adequately assessed the impact of the traffic generated by the site was at a satisfactory level and did not materially impact other road users on the surrounding road network.
