The Project
Designed by BSPN, the hotel refurbishment includes removing some bold additions made to the hotel building in the 1980s/90s and replacing them with a contemporary, modernised space offering both indoor and outdoor areas.
Our Work
Our planning and landscape teams worked on securing a permit for this exciting refurbishment.
We navigated liquor licensing issues by establishing existing use rights and applying various principles arising from case law.
The exterior of the building adapts a former ‘dome’ structure to include a new semi-open beer garden, enhancing the streetscape through passive surveillance, activation and feature landscaping designed by our landscape team in conjunction with BSPN architecture.
