The project
Located in Barham, NSW, this regional manufactured homes estate comprises 224 homes with a central clubhouse and community area.
The development features a spine road with multiple offshoot roads serving individual homes.
Our work
Our multidisciplinary team provided transport and waste management services for this project.
Our transport team prepared a transport impact assessment and undertook significant design work to deliver a compliant and functional road network. We worked closely with Spiire to design the internal access road system to meet NSW’s legislation and design guidelines for manufactured homes estates.
The design required extensive collaboration to ensure correct dimensions along the spine road and all offshoot roads. We analysed turning movements to confirm all vehicles could safely enter and exit each property, which was critical given the non-connecting offshoots meant no through-traffic options.
We also designed the site access and turning lane for the development.
Our waste management team prepared a comprehensive Waste Management Plan (WMP) for the estate, which involves sitewide council kerbside collection. As part of the WMP, our team prepared a detailed bin storage and kerbside presentation plan to demonstrate sufficient space was available to meet the council’s collection service requirements.
