Heirloom is a boutique residential development with a mixed-use offering.

Ratio’s planning team was able to convince Council of the merits of the application and obtain a permit without going to VCAT.

The Development

The development comprises 16 apartment residences with a mixed-use component, generous balconies and intrinsic landscape architecture by John Patrick.

Less than 20km from the CBD, Heirloom is within walking distance of local supermarkets, dining amenities and parkland within Jackson Court.

Our Work

Our transport team was involved with the project in 2015. The site is presented with two street frontages, being Doncaster Road and a rear laneway within the busy Jackson Court Activity Centre. The team provided advice associated with the basement entry from the laneway.

Our planning team ran the town planning application through Council, negotiating with Council officers to gain support. The team’s main challenge was designing a building without a structure plan or guidance for the future development aspirations of the Jackson Court Activity Centre. The centre has not undergone any significant change in decades and the project was one of the first for the centre. Our team achieved a permit through Council.

The development is now complete.
