Process of Approval
Initially, the proposal was rejected by Stonnington councillors, despite members of the consultant team working closely with Council staff to gain a positive officer’s recommendation.
However, following VCAT approval, the iconic building has become an architectural landmark for South Yarra and the catalyst for the rejuvenation and revitalisation of the northern end of Chapel Street.
