The Library and Learning Centre offers a range of complimentary services such as gallery and cultural spaces, co-working spaces, community meeting rooms, terrace and public outdoor areas.

Our planning team worked closely with the project architects and Council to gain approval for this state-of-the-art library facility located in Warragul.

The Project

The new Library and Learning Centre is located at 59 Albert Street, Warragul. The Culture and Connection Precinct is on the corner of Albert St and Civic Place – east of the existing civic place car park.

Designed to target current Greenstar requirements, the building will include a range of community support services.

Our Work

Our planning team worked closely with the project architects and Council to gain approval for the library. As part of the process, it was important to consider the broader policy and physical context of the area, noting the site’s relationship to the activity centre to the south and residential land surrounding the parkland. This required careful consideration of environmental factors, vegetation and encouraging alternative modes of transport.

The design seeks to address the surrounding precinct from all sides, activating the street, civic precinct and parkland, with a strong pedestrian focus that will invigorate the precinct and provide a variety of services to this growing regional town.
