The social housing complex, comprising 38 apartments, will support women over the age of 50 escaping domestic violence and at risk of homelessness.

Our transport team was involved throughout the mediation process, providing clear and concise traffic advice, ultimately resulting in approval.

The project

The five-storey apartment development comprises 38 units, communal rooms, shared spaces, and on-site parking and has received $13 million in federal funding.

The existing St Vincent DePaul building will be retained as part of the development and will feature retail spaces on the ground floor, with offices located on the first floor.

Our Work

The application was initially refused by Council, and subsequently appealed to the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (TASCAT).

Our transport team was involved throughout the mediation process, preparing clear and concise information about traffic impacts. The information provided significantly influenced Council’s decision, leading them to change their original position and support the project.
