The Project
The project encompasses the development of twenty high quality showrooms and warehouses with first-floor office areas and associated car parking and landscaping in an Industrial 1 Zone. The existing saw-tooth warehouse on site will be retained and refurbished for use as a veterinary hospital.
Our Work
Our planning team prepared a submission to Council, coordinated lodgement, and provided ongoing support and input through the planning process. This included negotiating with Council to ensure reasonable outcomes for landscaping on the site.
The landscape response ultimately balanced Council’s desire for extensive landscaping to combat the urban heat island effect, with a suitable outcome which enabled the provision of additional landscaping, while ensuring visibility of the showrooms from Wickham Road was maximised, manoeuvrability through the site for both pedestrian and vehicles was not compromised and Melbourne Water flooding requirements could be achieved.
