The Development
The single-level, 72-place childcare centre is located off the main Rossiter Road within proximity of Cochranes Park.
Our Work
Our planning team provided initial advice on the potential development. Following the acquisition of the site by our client, the team undertook preliminary discussions with both Council and Melbourne Water. These discussions eventuated into a formal planning application being lodged with approval being granted some five months later in May 2022.
Our transport team liaised with the Department of Transport and Planning during the preliminary stages of the project to receive initial feedback from the road authority on the access strategy.
The access for the site was slightly amended to allow for a subsequent DoT approval and support for the application.
Our waste team provided the project team with design recommendations for the ground-level bin store and prepared a Waste Management Plan Report to accompany the Town Planning Application. The proposed waste management system for the development involved general waste, commingled recycling, organics, and paper/cardboard bins and a hard waste / e-waste storage area.
