The Project
The double-storey childcare centre will accommodate 80 placements.
The development is located approximately 250 metres east of the Monbulk Town Centre and within the low-density Residential Zone.
Our Work
The project required removal of vegetation, display of signage and reduction in car parking requirements.
The application had numerous objections throughout advertising with key issues relating to traffic and the appropriateness of the site for childcare use.
Our transport team provided a comprehensive response to the traffic-related objections and undertook studies which effectively determined the impacts to be minimal.
Despite the number of objections, the team presented the Councilors with the proposal and they unanimously voted in favour of the application.
Our waste management team provided a waste management plan allowing for the separation of the following waste streams within an external bin enclosure: general waste, recycling, organics, paper/cardboard and hard waste, and e-waste.
The waste team also with the transport team to prepare a waste truck swept path assessment showing onsite collection from the carpark.
