The senior’s build-to-rent facility features 153 units across eleven levels and offers excellent access to transportation options in the Southport Priority Development Area (PDA).

The project will be the first retirement living development in Southport since the declaration of the PDA.

The Project

The site comprises three blocks of land, and the building will feature 153 units across eleven levels, 149 car parking spaces and nine visitor bicycle parking spaces.

Located within Precinct 3 of the Southport PDA, the development provides excellent access to the Southport Light Rail Station and Southport Activity Centre. Maximising access to these neighbouring amenities, the bus network, bicycle routes and the pedestrian network, was pivotal to the project’s success.

Our Work

Our transport team consulted on the development’s car and bicycle parking provision and design, loading arrangements and traffic analysis. Our waste management team consulted on waste storage and collection methods for the facility, including ground floor wall hoppers as a safe solution for residents to dispose of their waste, waste chutes with compaction to reduce ground floor bin footprint, and on-site bin storage close to the property boundary allowing on street collection to avoid the need to accommodate a waste vehicle on site.
