We collaborated closely with our client to obtain planning approval for a new OTR development.

Our planning and transport teams offered advice throughout the planning scheme amendment process.

The Project

The 24/7 OTR station required a planning scheme amendment to re-zone the subject site from General Residential to a Commercial Zone in Devonport (Northern Tasmania).

Our Work

Our team provided town planning services associated with a combined application and planning scheme amendment for the development of the OTR station.

The main planning challenge was that Council officers did not support the 24/7 operation of the use. However, with the assistance of our legal team and acoustic and lighting expert evidence, the project team was not only able to obtain approval for the combined application but also the support of the Tasmanian Planning Commission (TPC) for a 24/7 operation.
