Ratio was excited to see the gazettal of Amendment C185knox to the Knox Planning Scheme, which introduced new planning controls to facilitate the development of the Wantirna Health Precinct.
The Amendment includes the rezoning of the site to the Comprehensive Development Zone based on a Comprehensive Development Plan that supports a range of health and complementary uses across public and private landholdings within the precinct.
The plan includes a public hospital, medical services, education and research facilities, as well as accommodation and housing. It is expected to provide approximately 3,000 direct health-related jobs, as well as education facilities and new homes.
Ratio Directors Sam D’Amico and Mathew Furness worked closely with the VPA (initially), DTP and Knox City Council on behalf of our client (AAG), a key landowner, to review and refine the proposed planning controls and ensure the precinct opportunities are maximised.
We congratulate our client and the other key stakeholders on this important milestone and now look forward to seeing the precinct develop to build on the existing health facilities and deliver a broader range of facilities, employment and housing.
