The project
Located within the ‘In the Hanging Garden’ cultural precinct in Hobart CBD, this commercial development comprises 2 levels of retail and 8 levels of office space with 16 car parking spaces and 50 bicycle parking spaces.
The deliberately low number of car parks and generous bike parking supports Council and State Government goals for increasing active transport in Hobart city centre, and reducing reliance on private cars.
Our Work
We completed a transport impact assessment that balanced the development’s needs with the existing right-of-way easement to a neighbouring car park.
Throughout the application process, we responded to Council’s requests for information and addressed their concerns with considered solutions. The development has received permit approval.
