The role of the Lecky Road Health Precinct Urban Design Framework (UDF) is to provide guidance and set the long-term plan for the urban development of the precinct.

The UDF shapes the future built form and character and is a design tool which takes visions and strategies and translates them into physical design controls.

The Development

The Lecky Street UDF sets the direction for an area and manages the development of the urban environment by collating community values, government and agency objectives and stakeholder desires.

Our Work

Ratio’s Urban Design team were commissioned to assist in the delivery of the Lecky Road Health Precinct Urban Design Framework (UDF).

Our team ensured the objectives of the UDF were met by:

Delivering a vision for the way the land should be developed.
Providing a structure to facilitate immediate development and investment into the land to support the residential and commercial growth of Cardinia.
Identifying the fundamental elements that make up the overall structure to deliver the long and short-term vision for the Precinct.

Identify the catalyst projects and the staging of development to facilitate the gradual growth of the Precinct.
Providing a land use and development framework to coordinate public and private development.

The UDF was adopted in 2018.
