Ratio’s planning team joined the project in November 2019 to provide development advice at the preliminary stage of the development.

Our team prepared and lodged the planning application, repeating a previous application that had earlier received a VCAT refusal prior to Ratio’s involvement in the project.

The Development

Quest Serviced Apartment Hotels is set to take up a new residence at 45-49 Portman Street, Oakleigh, with the new location designed by C&K Architecture and developed by BNG Group.

Our Work

Through navigating a restrictive heritage overlay, the design had to incorporate the retention of the current building which also created challenges for achieving adequate on-site carparking and vehicular access.

Planning approval for the new lodgement was approved by Council with the proposed development achieving a building height in excess of the recommended building height limit under the Design and Development Overlay.

The development is now ready to commence construction.
