Our team coordinated with Corangamite Shire and the Department of Transport to develop a responsive strategy to environmental concerns.

When completed, the solar farm will generate enough energy for an estimated 92,000 homes.

The Development

Bookaar Renewables proposes the construction of a 200MW Solar Farm on 588 ha of land.

The solar farm is located approximately 8km north of Camperdown, a rural township in southwest Victoria.

Our Work

Ratio’s transport team assisted Pacific Infinergy to prepare a second planning permit application following a previous refusal by VCAT, who issued a refusal on grounds of transport and hydrology concerns.

Leveraging our regional experience, our team identified the key areas of risk and successfully coordinated with Corangamite Shire and the Department of Transport to develop a coordinated access strategy addressing outstanding transport concerns.

The strategy responded to the flooding and vegetation issues across the project site.

The new planning permit application was submitted in late 2020 with the Shire of Corangamite issuing a Notice of Decision granting a Planning Permit in late 2021.
