The Project
851-853 Dandenong Road originally gained permit approval for a mixed-use development consisting of apartments, retail and office space. TAL GP then sought an amendment to the application to become a purpose-built student accommodation building.
This change included adjustments to building height and number of basement levels, reduced car parking, increased bicycle parking and a redesign of the building’s facade.
Our landscape architecture team worked on solutions for the rooftop terrace, balconies and vegetation within the car parking area. Ratio’s landscape design incorporated benches and tree planters on the rooftop terrace while ensuring perimeter in-situ planters and vegetation mitigate potential overlooking issues to neighbouring properties.
