The Development
The four-storey purpose-built retirement village is situated in a Neighbourhood Residential Zone (NRZ).
The site is within walking proximity to the Yarra Yarra Golf Course, Moorleigh Community Village Reserve and Commonwealth Golf Club.
Our Work
Our Planning team provided input on the building design from the concept stage and were challenged with convincing Council that a four-storey building form was an appropriate outcome for the site.
Our team were able to demonstrate the need for alternative housing choices for retirees in established areas such as Bentleigh East, enabling locals to age in place within their community. They also emphasised the highly integrated development design response which takes reference from the emerging residential character in Victor Road and provides a high-quality interface to the adjoining Yarra Yarra Golf Course.
