There are a number of university pathways into town/urban planning and urban design in Victoria. Some courses, particularly for urban design, are offered at Master’s level, rather than a direct undergraduate degree:

There are also opportunities to enter the profession through related undergraduate degrees before completing a postgraduate planning qualification. For example, some planners study architecture, landscape architecture, environmental science, geography or design before majoring or specialising in urban planning.

There are a number of university pathways into traffic and transport engineering in Victoria. Our team predominantly have undertaken Civil Engineering degrees, with some entering the profession with science or other engineering degrees. There are also opportunities to enter the profession though postgraduate studies.

To start a career in waste management planning in Victoria, there are several pathways available. Out team hold degrees in environmental science and engineering with some team members having a background in engineering degrees such as materials, mechanical or chemical engineering. In general, any higher education degree that relates to sustainability is a great entry point to the industry.

There are several university pathways into landscape architecture in Victoria, with accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs available:

Students can also enter the profession through related undergraduate degrees before completing a postgraduate landscape architecture qualification. Many landscape architects begin their studies in architecture, urban design, environmental science, horticulture, ecology, geography or design before specialising in landscape architecture.

There are a number of university pathways into civil engineering in Victoria. Most civil engineers complete an accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering), with some choosing to specialise through postgraduate studies.

There are also opportunities to specialise in areas such as transport engineering, water engineering, structural engineering, land development and infrastructure planning through further study and professional experience.
