The project
The dog grooming and daycare business is situated at the ground level of a mixed-use development located at the corner of 196-202 Burwood Road and 1-3 Drill Street, Hawthorn. The business required an amended planning permit to operate.
Our work
Our planning team managed the amendment process, including presenting at a local Council meeting to address the community and objectors.
The client also engaged Ratio’s transport team to perform a car parking demand assessment to address objector concerns. By addressing these concerns and highlighting the merits of the application, some objections were withdrawn.
By working closely with Council we were able to receive permit approval while avoiding the potential 5-month delay that may have resulted from the Council election period.
