Akshay worked in local government for more than 2 years as a development officer and later worked as a traffic engineer at VicRoads (DoT) providing traffic engineering and road safety advice for the areas of concern.

He has worked on numerous regionally significant projects providing advice on traffic, flooding, subdivision, and drainage engineering matters to council planning officers for compliance purposes.

Akshay is particular interest in strategic planning, demand modelling, interaction, and impact of the upcoming development on the existing transport infrastructure and finding the best possible outcome for all stakeholders involved while ensuring safety for the most vulnerable road users.
